This spring, our founder Miwa Totani visited Iten and had the pleasure of reconnecting with athletic coach Richard Mukche. Together with his assistant coach Ruben Bekele, they traveled to Tambach, just 8 km from Iten, to support one of our Duma athletes and her schoolmates competing in the district athletics competition for primary and secondary schools.
It was an inspiring day filled with energy, determination, and incredible talent. We were truly amazed to see so many young athletes running with such speed, strength, and passion. Experiences like this remind us why this region of Kenya has produced world-famous long-distance runners for decades.
We are grateful to witness these moments firsthand and to continue supporting the next generation of talented athletes as they grow both on the track and in their education.
