We’re excited to welcome Mark to Maisha Foundation ITEN.
Mark grew up right here in the Iten region. For 15 years, he taught primary school, specialising in English and PE. He then spent three years in Nairobi, studying special education for children with disabilities. Now he’s back home in Iten, ready to give back to his own community.
Running has always been part of Mark’s life. He’s been a passionate long-distance runner since his high school days, and even now, he runs 5 to 10 kilometres every single morning.
Mark is joining us as an athletic coach and mentor for our Duma Blue students. His dream is simple but powerful: to help talented young runners carry the Kenyan flag on the world stage — and then come home to help the next generation of children chase their own dreams, just as he’s doing now.
We’re proud to have Mark with us. He shares the same heart, and the same goals, as Maisha Foundation ITEN — helping young people grow, in the classroom and on the track.
